Just discovered your great website, and I love your attitude and the information given. Sadly, too many people don't really care about their horse except as part of their own ego. I have been pencilling at Goulburn for many years, but am becoming increasingly uneasy and sometimes distressed by the way some people behave. It is such a relief to hear what you believe and offer. I am a "mature" woman, and I think we live near you (plus all our animals, who are here for life). For various reasons I haven't ridden for a long time (work in Canberra, etc) and I am basically timid and lacking in self-confidence. I'm interested in clicker training (have the book) and have a bitless bridle. Would love to have help in getting "kick-started" once more. Do you ever come to nearby places and give a lesson (or just plain encouragement?). Thank you for a lovely website - I shall keep returning. Best wishes, Cynthia Harris

Hey hillydale!
What a lovely website and some simply gorgeous ponies!!! congrats - keep up the good work!

I just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to deal with Catheryn and Hillydale Ponies. We have just had on trial a fantastic pony Carlingford Park Saintly who has now found a permanent home with us. Catheryn's thorough approach to matching the right pony to its rider and her honesty is fantastic. It is a hard and daunting task picking the right pony for your beginner child but Hillydale ponies has made that easy. I would recommend Catheryn and Hillydale Pony Stud to anyone looking to buy that perfect companion for your child. We are now looking forward to pony club and showing with our gorgeous little man. Thanks again it has been wonderful to meet you and to purchase this wonderful pony from you.
Hi there Tracey
Thanks for the feedback! It can be hard to find the right pony, especially for kids who are learning. In many ways we probably expect more of kids ponies than we realise, in that we expect them to stay calm and obedient despite having novices on their backs who give them contradictory, incorrect and indistinct commands, often from an unbalanced and unstable position. Luckily, most kids improve in their balance and their skills pretty quickly and have a great time with their ponies . Best of luck with your pony search, the good ones are out there though it can take a while to find the one that best suits. Hope you find one soon!

What a great web site and beautiful ponies! A very true and honest way to sell your ponies, as a mother of a 7year old daugther , found it a great read ( yes it does take awhle to get the first pony right! but now thinking about the 2nd pony soon,it can be a nightmare to get the right one) , only wished l lived closer to have a look at your ponies,
Super Web site.
